How to Fix iCloud Backup Failed with Enough Storage

iPhone Cloud Storage Backup Failed

If “your last backup couldn’t be completed” then the device internet connection might have disconnected in the middle of the process. It is a common problem that will happen from now & then and you don’t struggle because there is a solution to it.

  • Go to the “Settings” app.
  • Tap on “Airplane Mode” to turn off all networks including Wi-Fi connection.
  • Wait for thirty seconds and then tap to enable it.
  • The backup process should begin shortly in the background.

Airplane mode will disable all networks and if this doesn’t work, then you should connect to another Wi-Fi network. Your device or network may have suffered an error, and you can resolve it by connecting to another Wi-Fi router.

Sign out the iCloud Account

Your account might be suffering de-sync, which is a common problem. You can sign out of the account, so it can play reset the process and cancel the backup task. You can consider it as restarting the phone or unsubscribing service temporarily. You can set up the iCloud normally after logging in and it will work normally without issues.

  • Tap on the “Settings” app and then tap on your Apple ID name. You can access the Apple ID account from iPhone & iPad, so tap on your account name.
  • Swipe down to the bottom, where “Sign Out” is hiding and tap on it to continue.
  • A confirmation pop-up shows up on the screen asking to enter the Apple account password.
  • Enter the password and then tap on “Turn Off” to end the process.

Apple will sign out the device from the account and remove all configuration files at the same time. You can restart the device if you want and it is optional but you should log in to the account after a minute or two. iTunes

Apple introduced iTunes to control the iPod, iPhone, and iPad, which was a great leap towards the PC Suite category. iTunes is available on Mac OS X and Windows PC, but they did not provide a standalone suite for Linux operating system for some odd reason. You can install the Apple PC Suite on your machine and then back up the device manually. iTunes will create a unique path between the device & the Apple server.

  • Launch iTunes and connect the device to a desktop-class machine via lighting cable.
  • Click on the iPhone or iPad icon located on the middle menu.
  • Click on “Back Up Now” to complete the process.

iTunes will automatically connect to the Apple servers and create a path for the device to upload the backup smoothly. This way you don’t have to rely on 2G, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, or Dial-up connection and solve the error without a third-party tool. However, you have to be patient throughout the process because it may take a longer period depending on the size of the backup.
