Apple 13 inch MacBook Pro Unveiled with Magic keyboard

The tech giant is not bothered by the COVID-19 pandemic problem and focusing on launching the new line-ups in online events. Apple launched iPhone SE 2020 edition claiming that it is their budget phone ever. Now, they have revisited MacBook Pro and redesigned for power consumers.

Tom Bogers (Apple’s senior director) said that the new MacBook Pro comes with Magic Keyboard, doubling the storage, and performance is boosted with Intel 10th generation chipset. The 13-inch MacBook Pro adds greater value to the customer‘s wallets.

The 13-inches MacBook Pro 2020 model is powered by Intel 10th generation Quad‑core processor. If you are upgrading the laptop from a 13-inch MacBook Pro that has a dual-core processor, then the consumers will notice a huge performance jump and 2.8 times faster performance to be exact. The 13-inch MacBook Pro performance is boosted because the quad-core processor supports Turbo Boost speeds of up to 4.1GHz.

Apple added a T2 Security chip in the MacBook Air unveiled in March 2020. The T2 Security chip designed to protect the Touch ID of consumers and use it, where ever you want whether shopping online or keeping your MacBook safe from unauthorized access.

Tom Boger said in the statement that Apple doubled the storage for professional people and media consumers. Most of the standard consumers can purchase 256GB/512GB storage capacity 13-inch MacBook Pro or upgrade it 1TB internal storage. Of course, the individual professional needs more storage capacity can opt for a 13-inch MacBook Pro with storage upgrade options up to 4TB.

You can order the machine in 16GB LPDDR4X (clocked at 3733 MHz) RAM. Of course, the higher frequency does help in some of the intensive tasks, but it won’t make a huge performance jump.

Apple dumped Butterfly Keyboard for good and replaced it with Magic Keyboard that got featured in 16-inch MacBook Pro and later introduced to MacBook Air in March 2020. The new keyboard technology is 1-millimeter key travel and based on scissor mechanism design for immersive typing experience, and created enough space for individuals with large fingers. The Magic Keyboard has physical ESC (Escape) key coupled with Touch ID and Touch Bar for faster navigation, and security.

Apple went with the old 13-inch Retina display and 720p HD front camera. The standard MacBook display native resolution is 1600 x 2560 with 500 nits brightness, which is good enough for day-to-day usage.

The 10th generation Intel Core i5 doesn’t bring the massive difference in processor performance and has improved GPU performance instead. The battle is between Intel Iris Plus Graphics 645 vs Iris Plus Graphics and of course, Iris Plus takes over the stage.

The 13-inches MacBook Pro designed for programmers, content creators, and designers. You don’t need GPU performance until or unless you are gaming on the laptop. Ever since Windows-based 10th generation CPUs hit the market, there has been a huge jump in the pricing. Apple does offer 10th gen CPUs here, but they are on the expensive, and you can’t even tell the performance difference.

Overall, the 13-inches MacBook Pro with 10th gen Quad-core is a good deal with the newer hardware and storage upgrades.
